App event maintenance

Here, you’ll learn how to hide, unhide, and stop tracking your in-app events.

Before you begin

Here’s what you need to know before getting started.

Helpful information

  • Adjust continues to track all hidden events.
  • Adjust automatically hides events that are more than 3 months old and have no tracked history. If a hidden event gets triggered, Adjust automatically shows it in your active event list and dashboard statistics.
  • All hidden event data remains available for export through our KPI service

Hide app events

Keep your in-app event funnel up to date by hiding your unused events.

To hide an event, follow these steps.

  1. Find your app and select your app options caret (^)
  2. Select All Settings > Events
  3. Find the event and select Hide (eye icon)
  4. Confirm your selection

Well done! Now your event is hidden from your dashboard.

Unhide events

Ready to see your event again? With Adjust, you can unhide an event and all of its data will appear in your dashboard—including activity tracked while it was hidden.

To show a hidden event, follow these steps.

  1. Find your app and select your app options caret (^)
  2. Select All Settings > Events
  3. Select the Show hidden events checkbox
  4. Find the event you want to see, and select Unhide (eye icon)

Now you'll see the event with its new and historically tracked data in your dashboard. This includes any event conversions made while it was hidden.

Stop tracking app events

To permanently stop tracking an event, you need to disable it outside of the Adjust dashboard. To do this, follow the instructions for your event tracking integration.

For events tracked within the Adjust SDK

If you are tracking events with the Adjust SDK, delete the event token(s) from the Adjust SDK and resubmit your app to the store.

For events tracked server-to-server

If you are tracking events server-side, end submission of the affiliated POST request to Adjust’s endpoint https://s2s.adjust.com/event. Since all Adjust event tracking occurs outside of your app, you don't need to make any changes to the Adjust SDK.
