User journey - Education vertical
Your app, Learn Droid, is a subscription-based education app that offers different courses and instructor-led lessons.
Here, you can find out how to use Datascape to best analyze how successful your campaigns are in driving users to your app.
User journey
After installing Learn Droid, your users first have to register and start their free trial. After the trial, your users need to subscribe to your app to continue using it.
Overview dashboard
As a Marketing Manager for the Learn Droid app, use the KPIs widget on the Overview dashboard to quickly get a holistic view into the performance of your campaigns. Set your metrics in the KPIs widget to the following:
- Click Conversion Rate (CCR) - Understand if your campaigns are bringing in new users.
- Trial started and Buy 1-month subscription - Choose these events from the metric selector to quickly gauge how many of the users start a free trial and buy a subscription. Note that data for these events is not tied together, that is, the users that bought a subscription were not necessarily the same users that started the free trial.
If you want to gauge how many of your users that started a free trial went ahead and bought a subscription, you could try using the following events as metrics:
- Event - Trial started, Cohort period - 3D
- Event - Buy 1-month subscription, Cohort period - 14D
Use the Performance summary widget on the Overview dashboard to see which campaigns worked best for you in the past 7 days. Use the following settings:
- Filter to Top 10
- Dimension to Campaign Name
- Metric to Installs
With the Real-time performance summary widget, measure the performance of different partners by choosing the following metrics:
- Impressions
- Clicks
- CTR
- Installs
- Click Conversion Rate (CCR)
- Average DAUs
- Ad Spend
- eCPI (All Installs)
- All Revenue
- Average WAUs
- Effective Cost per Click (eCPC)
- eCPM (Attribution)
With this data, you can quickly understand which of your partners are bringing in the most installs and the most revenue. Get your money's worth!
All Reports
Now, go to All Reports, where you can actually drill down into understanding which partner performed best for which campaigns. Share this data with your team by quickly creating a report by choosing the following dimensions and metrics:
Dimensions
- Campaign Name
- Channel
Metrics
- Clicks
- Installs
- Registrations
- Trial started
- Buy 1-month subscription
