Apple Ads Deep Links

Apple Ads Custom Product Pages (CPPs) and custom ad creatives let you route users to specific in-app content after install. For example, a fitness app can send users who engage with a "running" ad or Custom Product Page directly to its running experience. To enable this, place an Adjust deep link in the Custom Product Page or custom creative's deep link field.

When you create a deep link using an Apple Ads tracker as the parent link, Adjust automatically enables fallback attribution. This ensures the deep link is used only for routing users and measuring engagement, while install attribution remains with Apple Ads.

Key benefits:

  • Route users to specific in-app content from Custom Product Pages and ad creatives
  • Measure engagement and conversions for each Custom Product Page or creative
  • Automatic fallback attribution with no manual configuration required
  • Apple Ads install attribution is protected by design

What does it do?

Apple App Store Custom Product Pages let you create multiple versions of your product landing page for different audiences or use cases. Each Custom Product Page includes its own deep link field, allowing you to send users to relevant in-app content after installation.

Note:

Adjust also supports redirecting users to Custom Product Pages

Apple announced at WWDC that, beginning Fall 2026, advertisers can add deep links directly to custom ad creatives from the Apple Ads dashboard. This feature supports the same capability, letting you attach a deep link directly to an individual ad.

When you create an Adjust deep link using an Apple Ads tracker as the parent link, Adjust automatically sets the deep link's Fallback Attribution Logic to To the previous ad. This setting cannot be changed.

As a result, if a user opens the deep link after engaging with an Apple Ads ad, attribution remains with the original Apple Ads engagement. The deep link continues to route users to the correct in-app content and measure engagement for the associated Custom Product Page or creative.

What it doesn't do

  • Deep links created under an Apple Ads tracker cannot claim install attribution.
    • The fallback attribution setting is always set to To the previous ad.
  • This feature does not change how Apple Ads installs are attributed in Adjust. Install attribution continues to be handled via the Apple Ads (SAN) integration.

How does it work?

Creating the deep link follows the standard Adjust deep link workflow:

  1. Select a parent link.
  2. Configure the destination within your app.
  3. Generate the deep link.

If the parent link is an Apple Ads tracker, Fallback Attribution Logic is automatically set to To the previous ad and cannot be modified.

Get started

Requirements

  • Apple Ads set up as a partner
  • Editor or Admin permissions in Campaign Lab
  • An iOS app

Setup summary

  1. Create the deep link
  2. Confirm fallback attribution
  3. Add the deep link to your Custom Product Page or creative
  4. Validate your setup

Step 1: Create the deep link

  1. In Campaign Lab, go to Deep Links > New.
  2. Select your app
  3. Choose your Apple Ads tracker as the parent link.
  4. Configure the deep link destination (the in-app screen or content you want users routed to).
  5. Select Generate link.

Step 2: Confirm fallback attribution

Before generating the link, check the Fallback Attribution Logic tile. For deep links parented to an Apple Ads tracker, this is automatically set to To the previous ad and cannot be edited.

This setting confirms the link will not cannibalize attribution from your Apple Ads campaigns.

Step 3: Add the deep link to your Custom Product Page or creative

Copy the generated deep link URL and paste it into the relevant deep link field:

  • For Custom Product Pages, add it in App Store Connect.
  • For custom creatives, add it in your Apple Ads dashboard.

Step 4: Validate your setup

Before publishing, confirm:

  • The deep link routes to the correct in-app content when opened after install.
  • The Fallback Attribution Logic tile shows To the previous ad and is not editable.

Reporting

Deep link engagement is reported under the Apple Ads tracker used as the parent link.

To break down performance by individual Custom Product Page or creative, include an identifying parameter (such as a page or content name) when creating the deep link. You can then use that parameter to filter or segment your reporting.
