Device level fraud and engagement fraud

The Device level fraud and engagement fraud widgets allow you to monitor your rejections based on these two advertising fraud categories.

  • Device level fraud. There is no legitimate user engagement with an ad, download, or install. This category of fraud includes SDK spoofing, fake installs, and emulated traffic. Adjust SDK Signature and Anonymous IP filtering are in charge of catching these annomalies.
  • Engagement fraud. There is no legitimate user engagement with an ad, but there is a real user downloading and installing the app. The ad engagement is made on the user’s behalf without their knowledge. This category includes click spam and click injection, and is caught by Adjust's click spam solutions such as Distribution Modeling and the Click Injection filtering.
