Smart banners

A smart banner is a banner that you can add to a mobile webpage to promote your app, a sale, or a specific product. Behind the banner is a link that takes users directly into your app if they already have it installed, or takes them to the store to download it first.

Smart banners ensure a seamless user experience and help you target web users to drive traffic to your app. Ensure every converted app user starts their in-app experience where you want.

How it works

Here's what the user flow looks like when you use smart banners with Adjust:

A user clicks on your web ad and is redirected to your mobile website OR they arrive there organically.
The smart banner launches on your mobile website.
The user clicks the banner.
One of the following occurs:
- If your app is not installed: The user is redirected to the correct store to download your app.
- If your app is installed and you have enabled deferred deep linking: The app launches and the user is taken directly to your chosen in-app location.
