Single Sign-on (SSO) lets users securely sign into multiple applications and websites using a single set of credentials. SSO makes password management easier, reduces security risk, and makes it fast and convenient to move between applications. You can scale IT infrastructure without worrying about escalating administrator tasks and user access issues.

Before you begin

Here’s what you need to know before getting started.

Availability

  • Only Admins can set up SSO in Adjust. Once enabled, SSO is applied to all permission level users.

Account management

After you have set up SSO, note that:

  • For SSO-managed accounts, password and email management are handled by your identity provider. As a result, the Change Password and Change Email options are not available in Adjust.
  • If your team has granted access to users on non-SSO domains, such as advertising agencies, those users can log in to Adjust directly.
  • If you have also enabled two-factor authentication (2FA), you need to manage 2FA through your identity provider (IDP). For users on non-SSO domains, Adjust will continue to manage 2FA.
  • SSO users can manage their API tokens through Account Settings. For security reasons, resetting an API token may require re-authentication through your identity provider before the action can be completed.

Create users and log in after SSO setup

To automatically create an SSO-enabled user in Adjust, launch Adjust from your identity provider. The user is created with the default role specified during the SSO setup request (Reader for Google Workspace SSO). Check with your SSO provider for the precise details of this setup.

Alternatively, you can still create username-and-password users in Adjust Account Settings > Users. If one of these users later signs in through the identity provider, they are migrated to SSO and must use SSO to sign in going forward.

Existing SSO-enabled users can sign in to Adjust through their identity provider or by selecting Log in with SSO on the Adjust login page. This option is not available for username-and-password users or users who have not yet been created.
