Before you begin
Here's what you need to know before getting started.
Requirements
- Admin users can add and set up apps. Editor or Custom Editor users can set up most features. For questions, reach out to your Technical Account Manager or contact support@adjust.com.
Get started with your setup
Apps
- Add your app in AppView. Enter your app name, select its reporting currency, and confirm regulatory compliance (COPPA | DMA).
- Add a platform to your app. You need to add at least one platform to your app. This how users who click on Adjust links are directed to the appropriate app store.
- Add events to your app to measure user engagement. Events add granularity to your reports.
- Choose attribution and reattribution settings to determine how to measure different engagements from your app's users. These include settings for device matching, probabilistic modeling, or temporary attribution and reattribution.
- Set up a social sharing preview for your app to customize how your links appear when shared on social media and messaging apps.
- Share Adjust SDK integration instructions with your developer.
Campaigns
Set up a branded domain in your app for all click link URLs of your app. This establishes link authenticity, improves brand consistency, and increases conversion rates.
Raw data exports
Set up server callbacks or cloud storage uploads to receive raw, user-level data to your servers.
Data sharing for dynamic ad networks
Set up data sharing for dynamic ad networks running campaigns for a specific app. Adjust only shares data that is attributed to dynamic networks with them. You can share in-app revenue and parameter data with these networks.
Data protection
- Enable fraud prevention features to prevent fraudulent traffic from being attributed to paid channels.
- Set up data privacy to manage data collection and retention of your users' data.
- Set up SDK signature to ensure that Adjust's servers check that every request has a valid signature.
- Set up S2S security to add an authentication token to requests. This secures your S2S events and ad revenue, and protects against spoofed requests.
- Filter suspicious ad revenue to enhance ad revenue fraud protection.
- Set up data residency to choose the geographic location where you store user data. You might have to set this up to abide by region-specific privacy laws and regulations.
Revenue
Set up subscriptions to record subscription events and revenue through a user's journey for Apple App Store or Google Play Store apps.
Testing console
Use the Testing console to access test device data. You can verify raw device activity, review attribution data, confirm event activity, reset your advertising ID for retests, and much more.
