Before you run any link-based campaign in India, you need to establish a new Adjust endpoint. This is an essential step needed for your campaigns to work. The endpoint you need to use will depend on whether you are located in China or outside of China.
Here, you can find out how to set up this new endpoint.
Note the following points:
Facebook, Google, Snapchat, Twitter, and Apple Search Ads do not need this new endpoint to work.
You do not need to release a dedicated app version specifically for the Indian market. The URL strategy you add to the SDK works from other countries as well.
To run campaigns with Adjust, you first need to download and set up the latest Adjust SDK version for your platform. Your developers need to update to the latest version of the Adjust SDK. After that, one additional line of code must be added to the SDK.
Set the URL strategy via AdjustConfig object. This should be done before the initialization of the SDK.
The line you input is different for each development platform:
We recommend your developer set the logs level to verbose and the SDK environment to sandbox mode. Run the app and check that the SDK logs under the debug console works well after the implementation.
Once you have implemented the SDK in your app, updated the code, and successfully submitted it to the Play Store or App Store, you need to update the settings of any Indian campaign using the Adjust link URL.
To do this, you need to switch the endpoint from app.adjust.com. The endpoint you use will depend on your location.
Read more on how to set up an Adjust link URL if you have not set up any as yet.
Outside of China
Switch the endpoint from app.adjust.com to app.adjust.net.in
So, for example, if your existing links look like this:
