SKAN user acquisition analysis

The SKAN user acquisition analysis widget lets you see the distribution of SKAN installs that had a conversion value included in the install postback versus those that did not. The latter are divided between pure SKAN installs and SKAN installs where the user performed an in-app event mapped to a conversion value.

This widget displays data using conversion values mapped in Adjust's Conversion Hub.

Set up the SKAN user acquisition analysis widget

Before you set up this widget, ensure that you have set the appropriate filters. For more information, see Set up your view.

By default, the User acquisition SKAN widget is a bar graph that breaks down the metrics by Channel. You can break down the performance of your app marketing campaign by the following dimensions:

  • App
  • Channel
  • Campaign name
  • Adgroup name

This widget utilizes a varied color scheme to distinctly represent the three main conversion value types.

CV ValueMeaning
Conversion value = 0Returns the count of valid SKAN postbacks where the conversion value is equal to 0 (install). A conversion value of 0 is returned when the user has installed the app but not triggered any mapped conversion value criteria.
Conversion value  > 0Returns the count of valid SKAN postbacks where the conversion value is greater than 0 (install). This means the install occurred and conversion value event or revenue conditions were fulfilled.
Conversion value = NULLReturns the count of all valid SKAN postbacks where the install has occurred but due to Apple's privacy threshold, the network could not share a conversion value. Therefore it is not known whether event/revenue conditions were fulfilled or not.

If you see a higher value of Conversion Value Null as compared to the rest of your events, check the following:
